Fabrication Shop ExpansionJanuary 26, 2007 PRESS RELEASE For Immediate Release RELCO Expands Fabrication ShopWILLMAR, MN. RELCO Unisystems Corp. has expanded its stainless steel fabrication facilities by adding 17,000 sq. ft. of floor space to the existing shop located in Willmar, MN. RELCO has provided custom stainless steel fabrication to dairy, food and pharmaceutical plants for 18 years as part of the total engineering and process design services offered to food processors. Steve Ennenga, Manufacturing Manager for RELCO, explains, “In addition to over doubling the size of our shop floor space we have added plate rollers and sub arc welding capabilities. These additions along with water jet cutting 3 years ago and pressure vessel manufacturing last year, is part of our continuous improvement efforts to meet both our external and internal customer needs.” Examples of equipment and food processing system components manufactured at RELCO are tanks, hoppers, augers, enclosures, cleaning systems, spray and fluid bed dryers, dehumidifiers and many other items made from stainless steel. RELCO provides dairy, food, and pharmaceutical plants with customized cheese, whey, soy, and other food processing equipment and systems through design, engineering, fabrication, automation and installation. Loren Corle, RELCO’s President points out, “our internal business growth with the KELLER™ processing systems for whey permeate and lactose, production of ethanol fermentation systems, RelTronix® controls for dairy plant automation and outside custom fabrication orders has all helped to drive the expansion need. Last year we added 4 new positions to our process and controls engineering staff that helped increase sales and created 10 new shop positions which require welding, metal finishing and blueprint reading skills,” Loren goes on to explain.
